Equipment Management
13.5.1 The clean air-conditioning system is the installation that ensures the clean operating department meets the corresponding cleanliness level standards
The performance of the clean air-conditioning system facilities during operation directly determines the performance of the clean operating department. Therefore, it is necessary to operate the various equipment appropriately in accordance with the hospital's operating status, monitor changes during operation, and ensure that the equipment runs normally.
(1) Dedicated maintenance and operating personnel shall be assigned; the operators shall be familiar with and comply with the statutory maintenance standards for the equipment and perform maintenance at regular intervals.
(2) An operation manual shall be prepared; inspection and records shall be made before operation begins, at startup, during operation, and after shutdown.
13.5.2 Daily inspection and maintenance items for the main components of the clean air-conditioning system
(1) Air handling unit. Inspect once a month and clean the interior; in particular, flush the heat exchanger with high-pressure water.
(2) Fresh air unit. Inspect once a day and keep the interior clean; the coarse filter screen shall be cleaned once every two days, and the coarse filter replaced every 1–2 months; the medium-efficiency filter shall be inspected once a week and replaced every three months; the sub-high-efficiency filter shall be replaced once a year. (3) High-efficiency filters shall be inspected once a year and shall be replaced when their pressure drop exceeds the designed initial resistance of 160Pa or when they have been in service for more than three years.
(4) The medium-efficiency and high-efficiency filters in the exhaust air units shall be replaced every year. If special-contamination operations are performed, the filters must be replaced after each operation, and the removed filters must be transported out in a sealed manner and disposed of by incineration.
(5) The supply air ceiling shall be inspected once a month and its internal surfaces cleaned (except for leakage-preventing ceilings).
(6) Return air inlet filters shall be checked regularly and replaced once a year. If special-contamination operations are performed, they must be replaced after each operation, removed in a sealed state and incinerated, and the inner and outer surfaces of the return air inlet wiped with disinfectant. If general-contamination operations are performed, after each operation the return air inlet must be immediately disinfected with disinfectant and thoroughly cleaned.
13.5.3 Electrical Installations and Medical Gases
(1) Electrical installations. Check regularly for short circuits, whether the voltage meets the requirements, and whether there is any phase loss. Test whether the current in each branch circuit is abnormal; check regularly whether any power distribution cabinet (panel) or wiring has loose connections; check regularly whether each grounding resistance meets the requirements; and check regularly the soundness of each electrical component.
(2) Medical gas installations. Check regularly whether each gas source meets the requirements, and calibrate the pressure gauges of the various gas sources periodically.
