Timer for Operating Rooms
As the requirements for operating room use have increased, timing with a single ordinary clock can no longer meet the requirements. The timers configured in modern operating rooms display time with two sets of digits in different colors: one set for displaying the surgical time and the other for displaying the anesthesia time. Time can be displayed in either the 24-hour or the 12-hour format; in the event of a power failure, the built-in power supply provides no less than 10 hours of operation; an ordinary timekeeping clock is also included. The overall dimensions of the timer are 900mm×250mm×100mm = length×height×thickness, flush-mounted; the installation height is 2m above the floor, and there is a separate control panel at the operating height, on which two sets of buttons are provided respectively. The timer should preferably be installed on the upper part of the wall where it is not easily visible to the patient. The specifications and dimensions of the timer are shown in Table 6.2, and its form is shown in Figure 6.14.
