Clean Operating Department of Nanhai People’s Hospital
I. Project Overview
Decoration and purification project of 12 clean operating rooms, clean corridor auxiliary rooms, and soiled corridor auxiliary rooms. The building area of the operating floor is 1244m². It was put into use on October 16, 2002. Tested by the Guangdong Provincial Epidemic Prevention Center.
II. Floor Plan Layout
The floor plan type of the clean operating department belongs to the peripheral recovery type. The design concept of this plan type starts from the notion of infection prevention, in which the handling of contaminated items after surgery is of the utmost importance. The design features of this plan are:
(1) Before and after surgery, medical staff, patients, sterile instruments, and corresponding auxiliary supplies enter and exit through the central clean corridor, while post-operative waste is promptly transported out through the peripheral corridor, thereby achieving the goal of separating clean and soiled flows;
(2) The clean corridor is located in the center of the building, with soiled corridors set along the exterior walls on the north and south sides. Operating rooms of different grades are arranged in clearly defined zones, and the operating areas on both sides of the elevator hall are naturally connected through the auxiliary-room corridor of the elevator hall. The soiled corridor and auxiliary room area are arranged along the exterior wall side of the building;
(3) In terms of the decorative structure of the operating rooms, large arc transitions are adopted between wall and wall, and between wall and ceiling. This eliminates airflow dead zones and is conducive to the organization of the purified airflow.
A total of 12 clean operating rooms are provided. Among them, there is 1 Grade Ⅰ room and 4 Grade Ⅱ rooms, arranged on the right side of the building, and 7 Grade Ⅲ rooms, arranged on the left side of the building.
III. Air-Conditioning and Purification System
(1) The 1 Grade Ⅰ operating room adopts one medical hygienic-type purification air-conditioning unit, with air supplied through a static-pressure air supply device.
(2) The 4 Grade Ⅱ operating rooms each adopt one medical hygienic-type purification air-conditioning unit, with air supplied through a static-pressure air supply device.
(3) The 7 Grade Ⅲ operating rooms share one medical hygienic-type purification air-conditioning unit for every 2–3 rooms, with air supplied through a static-pressure air supply device.
(4) The clean corridor and the auxiliary rooms in the clean area share one medical hygienic-type air-conditioning unit.
(5) The soiled corridor and auxiliary rooms adopt one medical hygienic-type air-conditioning unit.
(6) Two fresh-air units are installed to supply fresh air centrally by zone.
IV. Indoor Airflow Organization
Grade Ⅰ–Ⅲ operating rooms use concentrated supply air outlets, with air supplied from above and returned from below.
The clean corridor and clean auxiliary rooms use high-efficiency supply air outlets, with air supplied from above and returned from below.
The cleaning corridor and auxiliary rooms use sub-high-efficiency supply air outlets, with air supplied from above and returned from above.
