Infusion rails are provided for the sliding of infusion bottle hanger rods. Since patients receive infusion through their hands or legs, an infusion rail should be installed on each side directly above the operating table, parallel to the table, with a length greater than 2.5 m, and the spacing between the two rails should preferably be 1.2–1.4 m.

【Reference】 Infusion rails are made of stainless steel or aluminum and can be either surface-mounted or recessed for concealed installation, as shown in Figure 6.17. However, as some users find them inconvenient for cleaning, a hanging ring may alternatively be provided at each of the four corners of the air supply plenum to replace the rails.
